The incident took place around 3:55 a.m., Friday, Jan. 1, in Roosevelt, said the Nassau County Police.
According to detectives, officers responded to a call on Madison Avenue for a male who had been stabbed.
Upon arrival, officers located the 19-year-old victim with a stab wound to his wrist said he had just been stabbed by a male who fled the scene northbound on Nassau Road in a 2021 Lexus.
After an investigation, officers were able to locate the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Nassau Road and Argyle Avenue, police said.
The juvenile was placed under arrest without incident. The victim was transported by a Nassau County Police Department Ambulance to a local hospital for treatment.
The juvenile was charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
